Oracle PL/SQL Programming Second Edition

This is an old book, but still one of the best primers on the basics of the PL/SQL programming language. This book is fairly easy to follow, and has lots of examples. Particularly useful is the section on formatting guidelines, which is something we don't spend a lot of time on in class, but which is very useful information for professional developers.

PL/SQL User's Guide and Reference

This book is part of the Oracle online documentation. It is well written, but very comprehensive, so it is not always easy to follow. However, I still recommend it as a valuable reference for anyone wanting to master the PL/SQL language.

This is a .pdf file. I recommend that you copy this file and print the book one chapter at a time. Then find a quiet coffee bar somewhere, and start working your way through it.
